The Illinois Council on Tuberculosis (ICOT) is a professional organization dedicated to the prevention, control, and elimination of tuberculosis across Illinois. ICOT brings together public health professionals, clinicians, and organizations committed to strengthening tuberculosis awareness, improving detection, and supporting effective treatment efforts.
ICOT works in alignment with national and state public health guidance to ensure best practices in tuberculosis prevention and control are consistently applied across communities.
Mission
To advance the elimination of tuberculosis through coordinated prevention, early detection, and effective treatment strategies across Illinois. ICOT is committed to strengthening public health systems by promoting evidence-based practices, supporting healthcare professionals, and improving access to education and resources.
